Restoration lies at the heart of South Umpqua Rural Community Partnership’s work in the South Umpqua River basin. Through collaborative, science-based projects, SURCP brings together landowners, agencies, volunteers, and local organizations to restore rivers, forests, and wildlife habitats that support both ecological health and community resilience. From improving fish passage and water quality to revitalizing riparian corridors and natural floodplain processes, these efforts focus on long-term solutions that strengthen natural systems while benefiting the people who depend on them.
